  1. Nice job Charlie. I've a full set of tyres and tubes for one of those. No use to me. If you want them, I'll take them to Newby Hall and give them to Chris. You could collect them from him sometime. Free as well.
  2. Richard, I know I'm a little way off from you, but I can enquire at the chaps who did my trans cases. They specialise in vintage stuff.
  3. My series Land Rovers never looked like that.
  4. No need, Alian. My post was referring to the machine, NOT what you said.
  5. No Paul. Just sitting there purring away.
  6. Pity about that, Richard. Is there not a garden machinery business near you, who could grind it down?
  7. I was asked to go along to this while at the Silloth Green Day. Somehow I don't think I'll be going again. Some photo's below. Sorry not much to see.

    Not another one...

Good find Tom, even if it is the wrong colour.
  9. Really gradely job your doing, Ian. Looking really tidy.
  10. Today has been Silloth Green Day. This is held every year, with various attractions along the garden fete lines. There is also a small vintage section. So after being asked to go and exhibit for two or three years now, I succumb, loaded the C-81 and the C-121 this morning and off we went. Turned out not a bad day, though somewhat chilly at times, from the wind blowing, in from the Irish sea. I remembered to take my camera, so a few photo's for your perusal.
  11. You seem to have tried everything. What condition is the fuel supply pipe like to that side injector? Is it kinked or partly blocked?
  12. I'd move to Nevada. 0.6" of rain so far this month. 4" for the year. On a serious note, sorry to hear your problem. Hope the water doesn't to much damage to your property.
  13. You've certainly had a good day for it, George. You couldn't ask for better weather.
  14. Those are a neat little set, Alfiee.
  15. Looks a little past it's sell by date.

    Hallo Dolly.

They will indeed, Chris. Didn't have one lying around, Chris. But it could happen. After all, it is the MK1 model.
  17. What I was hoping for was some kind soul, to be able to tell me the I.D of the C-81 off the engine details. Long shot I know.

    Hallo Dolly.

When at Newby Hall last year, we were camped about 1/4 mile from where our exhibits where. Having three and only being able to drive one at a time, walking back and forth got to be a bit of a bind. So for this year something had to be done to save the poor old legs. They're not as young as they used to be. It's the rigor mortis setting in early. So this morning I had a scrat about. One Westwood front axle and wheels, some 2" box section, surplus ladder racks and the result you can see below. Still ramps to make yet.

    C-120 refurb.

Thanks but no thanks, Chris. Got one of those given me a few years back. Sold it on.

    C-120 refurb.

You want to get me in trouble?
  21. Mmmm! I wonder if that came of the C-125s deck when I rebuilt it. I thought it was odd to belong to the C-81.
  22. My C-81 is missing it's I.D. plate. Now I have found what I think is possibly it. Not very legible as on a plastic label. What I can make out says Toro, something Street, Southbend U.S.A. Model number :- 78351. Serial number :- 00109. Engine details are :- Model K181. Spec 30538. Serial 182220732. I think it actually Belgium built and imported by Mountfield. Does all the above tally up?
