  1. sorry Ian, no. The axle came off the robin my neighbor had,it caught fire,he kept the prop for a spare for his latest car - General Lee - in the reliant robin post on here. I was thinking of building a three wheel Bonsor type truck for the stables so he gave me the axle, I will ask him if he has any old props kicking around when I see him.I think he was going to weigh in the remains of the engine and gearbox,it is down at my friends farm, If I can get to it before he does I'll take off the drive flange from the box, it maybe of some use to you. Doug.
  2. more pics. These are just pics of items outside, there were motorbikes, spares and all kinds of manuals, brochures etc.
  3. Hi Nigel. The Wheelhorse had I believe £ 2700 reserve!!!!! The owner, an elderly gentleman told me he has owned it for the last 25 years. Sten, The Jacobson made £240-£260 if I remember correctly. All lots sold should have thier prices displayed on the website.
  4. Wish I had known Ian, I've just given one away, to go on a v twin Honda to build a trike! A friend at work had ordered a Ural outfit, £12 -1/2 k and now thinks he won`t get it due to sanctions with Russia.so he decided to build a trike in case.

  13. Mark, That's in the Vintage sale: Saturday 19th July. They are held 4 times a year. These machines were at the monthly agricultural machinery sale yesterday, which is apparently the largest of it.s kind in Europe. The vintage catalogue is now open to view on the Cheffins website. ref, the D200 to quote the catalogue, "Wheelhorse D200 2 cylinder petrol tractor. Fitted with a 4ft underslung mower and complete with Danuser compact hole digger and 14",9" & 4" augers. Equipped with PTO drive,3 point linkage and a qt'y of spares".

  15. Hi Paul, I didn`t stay too long,it was too hot, I will find out tomorrow, my wife works there, She works part time ie. 10-3 but once a month on sale days longer hours so I have to have the day off to let the dog out, terrible I know, having to wander around looking at all of this machinery and usually buying something, if only to stop the scrapman getting it, last month it was a BCS 603 complete with flail and shredder/chipper attachments, thats 2 I have now 16hp v twin steering by brakes and clutches on each wheel, the basis for a tracked conversion maybe?or perhaps a twin engined 'Bendy' with 4wd,they both have dual wheels!!! Sorry, dreaming again, too much time spent admiring the efforts of Ian & Mr Meadowfield! My C101 came from here for £100. at one sale an RJ ? sold for around a couple of hundred, people only seem to pay silly mony if the tractor has a cutting deck with it. If you go on Cheffins website you can see the reserve price by entering your email address.then you have access to all of the unsold lots.If you have a buyers number you can make an offer on anything unsold, they will contact the vendor with your offer. doug.
  16. Cheffins monthly agricultural sale: not an awfull lot in the sale, not too many people either. Some items would probably have sold better in the forthcoming Vintage sale. Pic`s not great, taken with my phone.

  19. Hi there. Not forgotten about the hardness test on the axle shafts, trying to calibrate the tester before I can start. Have found a couple of obselete? council 'donated' bottom blades, brand new but a bit of rust on them,I was going to use them for blades on a box/grader type 'thingy' the rough dims are 30.5" long-3" wide & 1/4" material thickness, 11 csk holes, would one of these be of any use for your restoration? pics should give an idea of the shape/profile. regards Doug.
