    I have one too in bits too but has been partially restored and just require putting back together..... I have several Briggs engines to make one good engine. Cannot recall the number on mine but will endeavour to find out. Keep us posted on its ressurection and more photos please!

    It's surprisingly narrow. I believe, like the Cub Cadet, JD made narrow width garden tractors as well as the usual width. Looks in good condition.

    I bought Nigel's restored Huffy Broadlawn a while back. Lovely machine. I sold it to a guy whose family were part of the UK side of the Huffy Group. The chap I sold it to was the son of the brother who designed the lawn rider. When he died, the widow decided to move back to the UK. He was thrilled to have a bit of family history in his possession and by good fortune he lives not a million miles from me.

    I do enjoy reading your posts Chris and especially seeing how you work out what you need to do at each stage. The template is a case in point. There's a lot to be said for the old school mechanic in these days of parts fitters.

    Personally I think the Suburban fenders you have offered up, will look a lot better with the Round Hood. Do you still have the cast iron seats to go with it?

    Good progress made and the photos are great to ascertain how bits goes back together and how things works. You should do a Haynes Manual Chris!
