Thanks for the extra photo's Marcel. I can see how the feed is connected now. The motor and angle drive looks like a car or truck wiper mechanism. Or am I wrong. Good idea. Do you have any projects in mind to make on the lathe. ?
This is one of my latest projects. Based on a Wheel Horse black hood garden tractor. Just a rough look a like. Started off as a non working Mobility Scooter bought cheap off Ebay. A mixture of wood and metal. Larger rear wheels make it go faster. Not sure how fast yet. Only had a few test runs in a confined space. All scooter electrics used. Two 12 volt 75 ah battery's. Dummy V twin engine to hide the scooter steering column. Chain and sprockets from column to steering wheel. Still need to have decals made. Will take it to shows when they start up again. 5 year old grand daughter having a play.
Your lathe looks really good. The black hand wheels and blue paint. I cannot quite see how you have connected the feed motor to the shaft. Would like to see a few photo's from different angles please. I have not done anything to mine yet. It is still buried under stuff in my garage. Still need to finish my Round Bed Drummond which is about 75% complete. Mainly needs a motor mount and counter shaft making. I have a 1/3rd HP motor for it. Warmer weather will get me back into the garage, Doing indoor projects just now
Harry t on here has asked if Billy Goats are still available. I have asked him if he wanted all three. Waiting for reply. Was there any particular one you might want. ? Chris tried for a spark on all today. No luck.
Glad your mate is OK. Friend John has had 3 or 4 stents fitted over the last few years. Still ticking although his dementia is getting worse.
