  1. Thanks Richard, it would certainly make it more comfortable! Thanks Alan, the one in the photo was particularly keen, se was licking it before Thanks Norm! I'm happy with how much i've managed to achieve from a pile of scrap
  2. So apart from a few parts still to make and bits still to finish painting the RJ looks about finished. We've had the RJ running for about an hour solid today and we haven't had any issues which is good. Here are some photos.
  3. Great, my RJ58 will be in the horticultural section, see you then! Thanks again
  4. We will definitely be at Newby Hall, that would be awesome as I think I have too many parts missing. Let me know what you want for it, thanks
  5. Great job on the plowing Joseph! The igloo is pretty awesome as well I made one myself (well more of an 'eggloo' but cheated since the back was built in a 2 foot snow drift
  6. Thanks Chris, the RJ might be up and running by the weekend
  7. Thanks for that Richard, it appears I am missing quite a few important things, I need to have a another look but I don't have the pawls, the return spring/ spring retainer or the pulley and sheave but I do have a cast part that doesn't look like a part from that diagram. I will have a look later and post a picture.
  8. Heres the plate on the engine, Its a Kohler K141 6hp, Serial Number 1014, Spec Number 29287C. Its interesting to see that the plate says Kohler of Canada, I never noticed before, other kohlers we have say kohler of kohler. Does anyone know if this is an early engine?
  9. Thanks Richard, the original one was only ever going to be a template but once i'd made it I couldn't be bothered to remake it out of thicker steel. One of the holes was too small so it forced me to remake it but i'm glad I did I always try to save the paint if I can however it will inevitably get chipped at some point
  10. Hi all, I have this kohler recoil for an engine I have but the spring is snapped and there may be some other parts missing. Has anyone ever rebuilt one? Or does anyone have one they would sell? Thanks
  11. A little more progress now I’m home for Easter break. I remade the throttle out of some thicker steel and gave it all a coat of paint. We are using bike brake cables for the linkage. Not an exact match to the original but I’m pleased since I made it up from some photos.
  12. I’ve seen a couple on eBay in the past year, think I might have seen one with quite a few attachments as well.
  13. Thats a shame, hope they didn't sting you with import tax
  14. You never know Norm Cheers Paul!
  15. Hi all, I have recently started making reproduction light lenses for the Wheel Horse tractors and I thought I would post them here, Here are some photos, i've taken full advantage of the laser cutting facilities here at university They're made of 2mm thick perspex and they have a decal stuck on the front, price is £25 shipped
  16. Little bit more done recently, the throttle was missing so looking at a few photos I mocked one up in card that looked about right and then cut it out in a piece of scrap, it will do for now if it works.
  17. Some great exhibits! I like that RJ, but not sure on the rear wheels
