  1. Definitely a Nickerson turf master, probably with a Kohler engine. Harry
  2. Like this I presume, have seen a few about and are desirable
  3. It will be something like this, however there are different sizes and you won't know until you open it up. Harry
  4. Welcome to the forum. As meadowfield said I would think one of the selector keys inside the gearbox has broken ( the part he has circled ) I had the same problem a while back with one mine and they do tend to break and you can get spares online. Harry
  5. Have they got a clutch friction material on them? In the past I have had clutch plates religned which is a good option if you cannot get replacements. Harry
  6. I don't think they are but not sure, the tyre was shredded to pieces though😬

@slf-uk the exhaust box it 4" diameter and 9" long @meadowfield the tyre make is eurogrip. the fronts are the same width as the rear, I would like to get another sit of rims for the wider tyres at the rear as well.
  8. So, yesterday I picked up the Ford 100 from Devon. It was a long trip and several delays meant it took even longer but it was worth it in the end. It was a pleasure to meet Andrew again for the 2nd time, even though it was brief as we needed to get going. I had bought a few items at the auction near Andrew the day before so we went to get them first, we got loaded and strapped down and then went to Andrews, only to realize we had left out battery and jump leads at the auction as we needed to jump some things. Anyway we carried on going to Andrews and we went back later to get them. As I said it was good to meet Andrew again, and to see the Ford of course. We had a quick chat about it and got it loaded along with the attatchments. Our trailer was full to the brim and couldn't of got anything more on, some stuff even went in the car! We went to the auction again to collect our stuff we forgot. We then left Devon to return home. Then this happened This was not good and set us back 30mins in the end😡. Anyway, we eventually got home at 9:50pm and obviously was dark so could not do much. This morning I got everything off and had a play around. Managed to get the Ford firing but could not keep it running, fuel was not getting past the fuel pump, so I put it away as started to rain for next weekends project. Here are a few pictures.
  9. At least it is nearer you

That's my plan, but still a lot to do. @slf-uk I will measure the exhaust box tomorrow. @meadowfield I will get the tyre brand tomorrow but not a well recognised make

Here is a small update and some more pictures, little by little it is coming along and most parts are now painted, next on the list is the hydraulics 😬
  12. I don't have a tester myself. However I do have a ctek mxs10 charger which will tell me if the battery can be saved or not. It has a number of settings from which I can normally charge a battery and also recondition an old battery, I love it as has saved many of my batteries that other chargers can't. Harry

Glad to see you are recommissioning it. Let me know if you need any more parts as I have doubles of a lot of the important parts, almost another complete hydraulic system! Will look forward to se it up and running again
  14. Looks a good project, however it is RED, you may need to get youself a wheelhorse
  15. Looks like it is doing a good job, next thing you will want is a forestry winch on it!
  16. Is that another restoration project? I like the look of them both!
  17. Thanks for all the info guys, I think I will probably get a replacement carb as the carb is a bit rough anyway, but I really appreciate all the help. Harry
  18. Is it worth just buying a replacement carb for it?
  19. Float is ok, I will try the needle then
  20. I have cleaned the carb and all seemed fine, the engine was running when I first got it and now won't run.
  21. Hi guys, I have a modern field topper that you tow behind a quad or ride on mower. It has a Briggs and Stratton electric start engine 14.5hp. The problem I have with it is the carb is getting flooded with petrol. The fuel tank is above the engine. If I take the air filter housing off and turn it over petrol just comes spluttering out the top. Does anybody know what is causing this? thanks Harry
  22. @vegikev I am 16 but nearly 17 by the time biddenden starts
  23. I may fill the tyres to add weight to the rear, the bucket is homemade but the loader itself is a kwik way.
  24. Thats a fair point and you have now got me thinking. if i were to get an original body panel it would be at a great expense and perhaps not make me any happier, however i am one for originality. I will definitely contemplate it when i come to restore it. As for now i need to get some chevron tyres on the back as the grip is very poor when using the loader.
  25. Just a very large battery and a large fuel tank. In person the bonnet it actually quite small
