  1. Looks a nice bit of kit Paul, easy engine to work on, what's your plan with it ? Wipe over with an oily rag if it were mine, will look forward to seeing it in the flesh, and having a drive

  3. First thing I would do is drain and refill the tranny, it might have water in it quite common on these. Have the engine at idle and make sure the belt stops when you press the clutch

  5. Iam not really a Bolens person, but I like that!, looks a heavy bit of kit
  6. I have the same with my Harley, I start it up a couple of times a month and the fuel has been in the tank for 2 years
  7. Good man, only difference is I put my paint in a bucket of hot water
  8. I use sae 30 in my engines too, and sae 10w30 Api or 5w50 in my hydrostatic

  15. Do you want one to work on and restore, or all original ,or one restored and painted up, is it gonna be for showing at rallys or a working tractor

  20. Very nice to see it complete with the toolbar and all the attachments
  21. Went to a stationery engine gas-up local to me today, apart from the small engines there were a couple of big one's set up and running in the barn. In the corner was a Kinkade garden tractor that took my eye never seen one before, had two steel wheels on the front with one having a Villiers engine inside it, it had a tool frame with all the kit, plough. tines, ridger ect. there was even a couple of seeders hanging from the roof.
