Wheelhorse R26, new addition to the fleet

Recommended Posts

Went oop North to pick this up today :)

It's a Wheelhorse R26 rear engine rider, fairly rare over here I would think

It's a bit rough and ready at the moment but it has the all important spec plate, a sound deck and was not dear

so a good project methinks

Not a runner but has good compression so fingers crossed

Here's some photos...

Hello Neil, yes Tecumseh engine

I know it's not everyones cup of tea (coffee if you are Ian :) ) but its worth saving before its turned

into a go kart, racing lawn mower or just scrapped...

Should go well with the rest of the herd... :)

Red will look good on you. I'm glad you saved it, that's why these are so rare, no one bothers with them. I think they are

really cool. I've seen some old Fords and Cub RERs that were really cool as well.

Will be nice to get some more red stuff from you Paul, once you get into your restoration on this little baby

Yes well as you know Chris my stable of machines are all different colours... :)

Not quite my cup of coffee (I don't drink tea) Paul, but a nice find and a good save.. It would of been a shame if it was raced or scrapped..

You don't drink Tea? Time to call MI6 and find out who this guy really is

Ah we don't all drink tea over here...

(I do but each to their own)

Anyone got a cowling for a Tecumseh V70 engine please, the one on the R26 is a bit second hand... :(

Here's the second one...

It's just about complete the engine was not bolted in so that went in the car for transportation home...

The serial number is higher than the first one, I will ask Mr Showman to put a production date on it for me
