Removing & Applying new decals ?

I have some new decals to install , what are the best ways to remove old decals  & what is the best method  to apply new decals ?, without getting those horrid bubbles

Have you tried using an old hair drier or a heat gun to warm up the old decals, this will help soften the adhesive on the back.

Any residue left you can clean off with meths/thinners or petrol...

 

How big are the new ones and what are they Neil?? Some people like to use a slightly soapy water mix to help get them in position....

Yep! ,  If you are not familiar with applying these , Follow the advice above.

Your surfaces must be smooth, thoroughly cleaned and degreased first and wiped over with a Tack Rag to remove dust and reduce static.

 

I prefer to apply them Dry, taping in place and removing a section of the backing at a time and pressing and spreading out in a particular way using a semi rigid Roller.
