That's a neat little item!

TAS was a Japanese "knock-off" of the Ohlsson and Rice engines and tools. You can certainly see the similarities between them. One thing for sure, the Japanese built a better quality engine!

Hell All,

I just acquired an ice auger with a TAS P7 engine. I would be interested to know if anyone has found literature, parts lists or manuals.  Also, does anyone have any suggestions or know the correct spark plug to use on these?

Thanks,

Clint

These tags came with one of my O&R engines, one of them is for a TAS P-71 & the other for a KEIHIN carb which may or may not be used on one.

Those are really cool tags!  I will have to look at the carb again and see if it’s the same. The one pictured on the tag does remind me of the carbs I’ve seen on the 1hp TAS 12B Engines that we’re used on little outboard boat motors kind of like the Auqabug. I think even Sears had one called the Gamefisher that used a TAS 12B.
