CGA Annual Price Book

Recommended Posts

If you can find them, the annual price book issued by the Country Gentlemans Association of Letchworth, Herts, are always worth a read.

There's loads of horticultural machinery and items no Country Gent of the post war period could do without, some of the adverts have been copied for display purposes

with some of my machines.

I have annuals from 1952, 1964, 1965, 1966 and 1968, today a 1958 edition arrived courtesy of a seller on that well known auction website...

Has anyone else got any of these annuals ??

The nearest thing I've got is mechanical aids to the small holding by Desaules . An absolutely essential read. I'm sure its circa 1955.

Wow Paul. That's an awesome find . Collecting documents I feel is just as important as collecting machines.

Collecting documentation throws up some really interesting facts.

Great purchase

Thanks for your comments guys, I find some of the brochures etc very interesting because not only do they help date a machine but sometimes show implements and accessories

that aren't that common, so worth adding to your collection... :)

Nice Paul, I liked it that much that I've ordered one off Amazon, a 56 book, looking forward to reading it.
