    horti culto

Hi All Got this yesterday. A Allen & Simmonds horti culto with four sets of blades and a spare set of wheels. It has a Villiers mk7 engine on it but no spark as yet. Any info on these machines would be great as I have never seen one. Paul

    Chip A Saw project

Bought this one in rough condition a while ago. Motor was shot, missing clutch and clutch cover. Piston took a beating Saw completely striped down and cleaned. Made a new tank gasket Made a new clutch cover Found a good engine for it but it still needs to be gone through. It's been ready for paint for too long but just haven't got to it yet. Thanks to Webead for the clutch and thanks to usedtoolman for the NOS bar. This was a project posted on the old forum but still haven't completed it.

    Ransom dozer/digger.

Had a day out with the Digger today in snow plough mode, worked well with plenty of grunt but ideally the hydraulic ram for the dozer could do with a float position. The ram is double acting so stays where you put it instead of following the ground contours. Gave the old Whitlock an outing to blow the dust off.

Where did you get the tyres from Jack? Maybe it's worth starting a new thread for the south west show idea to gauge interest and location ideas.

Dynamo is actually a 12v 100W motor from an electric scooter. Spun it up on the milling machine at a few thousand revs with a regulator and it seemed to work, I don't think I'm fitting a battery though so lights will only work when engines running. Shed's on the patio, temporarily till it's done then it's going behind the other shed that's what I've told mum anyway.....

Looks a nice bit of kit Paul, easy engine to work on, what's your plan with it ? Wipe over with an oily rag if it were mine, will look forward to seeing it in the flesh, and having a drive

Paul Have you and Wendy carried out all the necessary quality control checks on the breakfast at the Lavender Line? It's a tough job but someone has to do it! Assuming all went well I will see you there, Hugh

Nice find ..looks to be a good solid machine......they had i believe lots of attachments, and the kohler engines are great. I am tempted by a jacobson chief 1200 at the moment myself (12hp Kohler 1968)..but my sheds are packed!!

Im in full agreement with you there Neil! lets try and sort something out for down the west country somewhere! you could count me and my grandfather in with 2 horses... would be nice to have a small horse meet up down here, as sadly I'm not driving yet and my dad doesn't fancy the drive all the way up north to the 2015 round up Im more than positive we could get enough wheel horses together down that way, or if not as mentioned above even a MoM section, any machine for mom members? good advertisement as well i guess

    Ransom dozer/digger.

Hooray up and running today, 40 psi oil pressure at tick over. Took it for a test drive along the road delivering Christmas cards and then back home for a dig.I am amazed it is fast powerful and operates on multi service functions so that you can lift and crowd etc at the same time. Going to make a set of swamp pads for the tracks next.
