After 10 years of exclusive WH ownership, I’ve turned to the dark side. picked this up from the Essex coast the other night after a mammoth 11 hour round trip. it’s in average condition, not much rust. But has the scars of an engine transplant. It’s a tidy job, but they’ve chopped the hood and chassis... looking for a few bits: kohler k241 engine dunlop implement tyre 6-12

Yep I understand that, but I think he said it had an old Honda engine in, and I thought I would have a lot of trouble finding the right engine for it, but as it happens the showmans got one for sale, I will look forward to the restoration of this one because ime sure you will do it to your normal very high standards and it will end up better than new.👍🏻

They fetch good money, the last one I was bidding on went for £1700 unless you have a secret supply then we have to pay these prices...

No shame in going Yellow Mark!. Always liked these myself. Hope all's well. I think the giveaway in finding the right spec of K241 is the effort someone has gone to in shoehorning and chopping out to fit that engine. The correct spec is K241-a (not 241s) spec should be 46700d and used the delco remy starter gen. Then again I'm no expert, but the mating of the engine to the drive is the relevant bit. I suppose it depends if you're planning to put it back to close original?. Good to see some more build projects on here though. I'll check in more often. Regards.

How did you count them did you use fingers or toe’s ? I need to use fingers and toe’s to get to 14. I would really like to know exactly what’s going on with that engine

Chip A Saw (Newer Style) rebuid

Yeah, Got'er done. This project gave a reminder of why I don't like to paint. The prep work is tedious and and messy plus after it's done it needs to be handled with care like a new born baby. And the patience needed to wait for it to cure is a problem since I want to always put it back together too quick. The end result is nice to have though. The first color it was painted was too far off, this color is just a tad lighter than the original paint but a pretty close match. The handle/gearbox cover piece was left original because the decal is complete and in very nice condition. It may get masked off and sprayed but then it'll need bar decals and a nicer bar. I'll find some nicer oil and gas caps for it too.

    This weeks project

Thanks David that helped out got all the spacers cut and found some nuts for the top. The top cracked a little when I tightened the nuts but not bad . I will live with it for now but still came out ok. .

Do you have one of these saws too Clint? Yeah, me too. It was better until some over spray carb cleaner smeared the lower left.
