  1. Hi if it's any help the engine in the picture is the same as an F15 Villiers. They were produced with both the Villiers and the BSA badges.
  2. Here should be a dating guide http://www.stationaryengine.org/lister_dating4.html
  3. managed to make a bit more progress with the bottom cowl tonight. A previous owner had welded on some stops for the bonnet to rest on. All I can say is when I came to grind them off that they did a very thourgh job of welding them in place! Took a look time to remove.

Wasn't there a very nicely restored one at tractor world a few years back?
  5. Thanks, can't work out wether or not I like the look of it. Kind of looks like the result of an illicit get together of a merry tiller and a motorbike.
  6. Thanks Paul, its something a bit different for shows, should be at Newbury in October.
  7. Found some handle grips in the workshop, and fitted. Also fitted the blades. Just waiting on a few bolts and a belt and then itll be finished.
  8. A bit more progress today. Managed to get the belt pulley on, also the belt guard and decal. The simple cantilever clutch was connected back up, with the operating lever getting a coat of paint. The final job for today was the depth foot, which was missing when purchased but there was one on the doner machine.
  9. Thankyou Norman, it's still not quite finished yet but it's getting there. Hopefully will get back on with my Sachs gem next week.
  10. Looks superb, when's your next project arriving? Lol
  11. Went to work early this morning and fiered the engine up. Started on only the second pull after being rebuilt about three years ago and not touched since. Was going to upload a video but my internet is so slow. It gave an estimated time of 18 hours for a video just over a minute in length.
  12. Sorry I now see what you mean, but I do tend to slap the filler on like paint, lol.
  13. Do you mean the filler?
  14. Managed to make a bit more progress today, sorry for the poor quality photos, as I only had my phone with me.
  15. Heres a couple of more shots from today, seemed to run out of time to get any more.
  16. Heres a few shots from today. As can be seen I had a little accident in the auction and somehow ended up buying a Howard Yeoman. .
  17. If you spot me, come and say Hello. I'll be by Pike a lot of the show.
  18. Heres a few shots until my memory card got over full of the set up day.
  19. Yes it was eefing cold last year. So bad that I wasn't going to do it this year, but my gem is going in the Severn hall this time. Looking at the forecast it's supposed to be a lot warmer this year, just might be very wet.
  20. Much more organised than me. Haven't got anything ready yet! Looks like I'll be busy Friday morning.
  21. Engine has now been trial fitted and the exhaust has had a coat of VHT silver.
  22. After work today I painted the 16 separate blades , handles and depth foot etc.
  23. As stated above, I managed to a couple of years ago obtain a scrap machine. This has donated the front wheel, depth foot and a slightly better fuel top. Also on it was a narrow set of blades and a set of side shields. These will be kept to one side for a while until I have time to restore them as well.
  24. In the post this morning was a set of decals from Titch at Machinery Decals. Once again the quality is first rate.
