This old roller had been parked in our garden for a few years, we used it with a mates Allis Simplicity ride on mower to level the ground for the aviary bird pens when we moved in to the house in 2004.

Since then it has sat in the garden a bit unloved so with the increased interest in working/playing events and the need to have something to put behind the Cub Cadets I asked Mr Showman nicely if he could modify it for me, add a tow bar and remove the unwanted parts of the frame.

Today we popped down to see Chris with the roller and he kindly fired up the saw and the welder and did the modifications.

It was then transported back home and painted, as a tribute and a thank you to Mr Showman there was only one colour it could be...

A little bit more done over the weekend, I have now fastened on the brake, clutch and linkages onto the tractor so that I can finish painting it together.

A new front axle pin was made and we used stainless steel grub screws instead of a roll pin which was used before.

Heres a photo once it had all had some more paint.

Ever notice, as soon as you set out something that is freshly painted all the flys in the country have to land on it !   WHY ?  What it it about fresh paint that is so appealing ?

Looking to finish this 'Mothballed' 1 inch Scale design TE project while I still only need the occasional use of a weak Magnifying Glass !., so it's top of the jobs list now.

I've been recently making loads of small Nuts and Bolts for parts that were temporarily fitted. Smallest size is 0.0669" (1.62mm) AF Steel hexagon rod with 12BA thread.
The metal plate in the Pic is one of 3 Oil Lamp brackets that require these small bolts-

A little bit more done last weekend, here are some photos.

Thanks to my grandad and uncle all of my tyres have now been fitted, I bought some tri ribs for the front as the old tyres were in a really bad state.

I masked the wheels off and then painted them all, so far they have had two coats and I'm hoping to get a third and final on today.

I've started painting parts in yellow now, ignore how neon the yellow looks it's only the first coat. I have now put a grease nipple in the front axle so hopefully it should never seize up again.

I have now bolted the chassis and the gearbox together so that they can be painted together.

I found this in a neighbors out building & thought it would be a crying shame to let it rot, I took it to a show a wrotham Kent & was told to restore it. I was put in contact with a guy cool guy called Chris from Sussex who renovated it for me, apart from that I know nothing about it. It's got a Clinton engine which I understand is rare as they normally get replaced, can anyone tell me anything about it?
