Wallfish reacted to factory in Comet Vane Governor
They are a loose fit, I've only had one some out when running and that was because the vane flag was bent the wrong way.
If it comes out of the carb the engine will run away, keep an eye on it when you try it for the first time and be ready to use the kill switch, or close the choke if it misbehaves.

Wallfish reacted to Monge in O and R Tiny Tiger back to life
I have a Model 300 Tiny Tiger that was brand new in a box and has never run. It was my grandfather’s, and I wanted to see it run. I tried to start it 20 years ago with no luck. I found this site, and with all the tutorials and helpful information, I fixed the broken recoil pull start, replaced the fuel lines, disassembled, cleaned and reassembled the carb. I for the carb to pull gas and it started and ran like a champ! Thanks to all the helpful info posted to this site!

That’s incredible!! I think I’ll strip some paint off and see if it’s chrome underneath. Thx for the info!

Wallfish reacted to factory in Part interchangeability Comet pump
The only shipping option turned out to be express, might have been a bit longer if they weren't available in Europe.
They should fit, will confirm at the weekend.

I've ordered two of the 09-843S-9 impeller kits from an Italian marine supplier, seems no one in the UK does the 8 vane version, will report back if/when they arrive.

Wallfish got a reaction from CNew in Kenco model 61 pump
They sure are smaller than some of the other stuff. I do wheel Horse tractors which you won't really see much of that far west.
Don't know who holds the record, might be me but @CNew Clint was making a big run at his collection. I don't know exactly how many are out there but maybe 60-70 tools I'm guessing, plus spare engines and parts etc.
Flywheel, starter dogs, complete carb with gaskets and check valve, I might have an air cleaner too but always hate to part with those as it's by far the most common part missing and therefore the most sought after too. I'll include some diaphragms too.
I sold a bunch of the doubles. Some to Clint and some just out right but might still have a circular saw and or a chainsaw or 2. I got an extra Power pole snow thrower too.

What about searching small outboard water pump impellers?

Took some searching but found this. Might be just what you need to make a handle

Wallfish reacted to CNew in Orline Cutoff saw
Finally got the saw back together. That took way too long. It’s been busy but it feels good to finish this project. I may tackle the Chug-a-Drill next...

What number is a waste of time? Yours could be $350 and below while mine is anything over $125. There's a guy on Epay with a circular saw priced at $1000 which is completely ridiculous, but obviously he believes it's made of gold. So one never actually knows where that line is. I don't put much value in a running engine because I can always rebuild it and get it running, while someone else may not have the skills to do that so running is the important thing.
Why not just say what you want for it and save everyone's time to begin with since you already know what you don't want to except?
Yes it's not very common but it's also not complete. It could be less likely to find those missing parts than it would be to find a complete machine.
Maybe ebay is the best way to determine it's value?

Do you have wood working tools to make a tube bender?

Finally had the chance to add one of these to the collection. It’s too bad it’s missing the circular handle but it’s still super cool. The tank is pretty dinged up and it’s been used over it’s life. Overall it’s in ok condition, can’t be choosers... They seem to come up so rarely that I figured I better jump while I could. I missed out on one of these on eBay a couple years ago that was in incredible shape and went for a bargain. At that time I had only been collecting for a couple months and had no idea how rare they were.
If anyone comes across an extra handle, please let me know and I’d gladly buy it. Or, if someone has a good way to replicate one I would consider that too.

Wallfish got a reaction from pmackellow in O&R ORline Air Compressor (Compressor made by W.R. Brown)
Paul has some good detailed pics on pg1. It's an everyday O&R 1/2" shaft.
Looking at the pics, it might be a problem to use that chainsaw box unless you're willing to rotate the engine to raise the shaft. Take a good look at it and line it up to see if it works. If you still want the gear it's yours.
At least the whole thing didn't break off. Should be an easy fix

Ah, back when MoM was first launched and before I started the O&R section. Guess I should pull it out for some pics and start a thread of it's own for reference
