Ah, back when MoM was first launched and before I started the O&R section. Guess I should pull it out for some pics and start a thread of it's own for reference

It's been a long build but @CNew Clint lit a fire under my butt when he messaged me recently about some foot pegs. They were ordered and once they showed up it gave some incentive to work on the bike. Still have some stuff to do and think it may get another headlight since it does look better with the dual lights. Haven't cut the handle bars to add a spring so they fold. My father has a gas tank which is much closer to original if not the original type so that will go on once I get it.
Finally glad just to be able to post something as it's been a bit slow on the forum.

Couldn't resist the urge to go out and tinker again after seeing Terry @JUST O&R on that skateboard. That was great stuff and glad we finally wore you down to go out and give it a try.
So, Got'er some more friction with a big azz spring and some more tire pressure. It won't carry me up the slight incline that well but gets moving going down.  The biggest thing I noticed was my ever increasing bald spot.
The ball's in someone else's court now!

OK, went for the crazy daredevil ride of a lifetime. Check out the risky off roading over the grass!
Youtube was a pita so shortened it to copy directly. Hopefully you guys can view the video but let me know if you can't.
Just threw some stuff on it so I could ride it and thought it would be funny. Still have lots to do but doubtful I'll ride it after it's done and painted.
Now it's Terry's turn for that skateboard

Had some traction issue with the friction wheel. I'll figure out how to crank that down so it bites into the tire better. You can see it peeling the tire in the pic with all that black on the frame.

Since these little bikes are so rare and don't come up for sale very often, I decided to build a repop. Doubtful I would spend the money these things get even when they do show up for sale, so this is most likely the only way to add one to the collection.
Bending the pipe looked pretty easy to begin with but I had to do quite a few just to get twins of each. Making a template and making a better bender would be much easier to reproduce exact copies but since I don't have exact dimensions except for some basic height and length, making templates is too difficult to scale the size from pics. Once I get exact dimensions of certain points from an original maybe I can make a bender and a template to achieve a more accurate reproduction. So for now it was lots of back and forth referencing pics and lots of guessing, this came out fairly close but think the seat needs to move forward. It took a few tries to get a tool made for doing the flat ends of the pipe where the wheels mount too so they look right.
It's was being worked on for the last few weeks here and there and I stop whenever I hit a road block but get back to it later with fresh eyes and typically a new approach will work out. Got to this point today which is enough to post some pics. Think the handle bars are a bit too wide as they are but intentionally left them long since they can always be cut.

Banana seat caused some headaches with bending twins. The original flat seat would be much easier.

Getting ready to weld the engine support.

Threw on a recoil so it looks more O&R and set a tank on there. The O&R tank will probably stay instead of a larger original type tank

And here's what it's supposed to represent

OMG A new post on the forum!
Seems a bit slow on here recently with no one doing any new projects. O&Rs are great for winter time season but I haven't had time to do anything at all. Then when there is a little time available I don't do anything but rest.
Hope all is good with you!
That's a tough call to do all that

    Hello again all,
Long time, no post !. I've been busy during this absence, honest !. Lots of preparation for painting the T Engine, only managed to get to the etch primed stage on most parts.
Temp, weather and humidity has halted progress.
I have been working on the Water Cart for some time. Glad to have finished the 130 holes for the 1/32" (0.80mm) rivets.
Broke 2 drill bits and had to get the pieces out by dissolving them over a few weeks.
Have reproduced the raised 'cast in' lettering on each of the tank ends by individually soldering them in place after fitting and sealing the tank end plates in position.
The letters are 3mm and 2mm in height and had to make the Ampersand out of bits-

Just finished making and trial fitting the wooden board work, tank lid and have revised the pump outlet nozzle .
The latch bolts are under way, with just the handle to make before fitting.
So just waiting for a 'weather window' to get the 2 part etch primer on-

Not quite a Tot Rod but a Black Hood Wheel Horse look a like, sort of.  Based on a Pride Celebrity scooter bought cheap as a non runner.  Info said 6.25 MPH.  Larger rear wheels make it faster.  Steering wheel in place of the tiller with a dummy V twin engine to hide the scooter steering column.  Chain and sprockets from column to wheel.  2 x 12 volt 75 amp battery's so should give a good run. Still needs decals. Only had short test run so far.  Photo's of Grand daughter  having a play.  She loved it.

Got a bit bored this week, I had an old disability scooter kicking about and found this old jeep on the dump, so I’ve cut 9 inches out of the chassis cut the jeep up abit, and I’ve got a start to an 8 mph tot rod

Now that the tractor is done, here are a few pictures of it with the deck on it. The first picture was taken November 5th 2020, and this is the day we actually took it out for the first time for a ride since reinstalling the deck and the engine. We actually mowed the grass with it too for the first time in about 30 years too.

Well that is all for me right now, please stay tuned until next time.....

Wallfish reacted to DustyB in flywheel key - easy to make
I took the flywheel off to clean the points. When I reinstalled the flywheel I was tightening the nut with about a 6" long combination wrench. Suddenly it didn't feel like it was tightening anymore or like something was yielding. I didn't know the torque spec but was nowhere near 90 inch lbs. Anyway I fired it up and it ran fine for a minute or so while I measured voltage and frequency and then the engine quit. I noticed the flywheel had slipped and sheared the aluminum key. After making the new key I reinstalled it and used my torque wrench, this time set to 90 inch lbs, and the stud broke at about 70 inch lbs. Examining the break, from the color I could tell it had been partially broken long before I got the generator. Since then I have drilled and threaded the crank for a stud. The crank seems to be hardened and is difficult to drill but I got sufficient depth to install the threaded stud. Tomorrow I'll probably try reinstalling the flywheel and running it again.
