It had quite a few things wrong with it. The carb slider was completely seized, the wrong grass box and some one had been at it with the spanners.post-106-0-71840800-1390518953_thumb.jpgpost-106-0-00956300-1390518957_thumb.jpgpost-106-0-75619400-1390518959_thumb.jpg

After many hours and a few £££s spent, the Engine is finished, New bearings were sourced for the entire mower, a couple of spares were donated to the cause and some other parts were repaired, overhauled or completely remade.

The fuel tank was stripped, filler applied where needed and the grass box had a make over. The rest of the metal work was shot blasted and coated with an epoxy powder, ready for painting.

Then I discovered the earlier mentioned problem, the wrong grass box! S1G kindly sent me some pictures of how the box should fit, and so I set about modifying mine.

Also had a very kind fellow invite me over to his workshop to make these new front rollers. Made from seasoned English Oak, once turned I inserted the brass and soaked them over night in a 50/50 mix of Linseed Oil and Turpentine.

Hi darren as explained not a part of Ardingly vintage show for exactly the reasons of charges and other politics.so thats why we are having a gathering at the small holders show the week before instead and theres no charges and most of us are attending. Theres also our small get together at the lavendet line in isfield near Uckfield in Sussex in march which is a very friendly day.

Hi Steve, message me the dates again and I will check my rosta, there might be some chance I can get one or two days off. I would have been off for the original Ardingley dates
