Rural Past Times, August 10 & 11 2019.

Recommended Posts

Exhibitors who came last year should have their entry forms by now, This year we have made a few changes and there will be a lot more attractions coming to include classic cars/motorcycles more children entertainment plus lots more.

The Horticultural section will have a working area as well as our usual arena display so we’re looking for more exhibitors to join us.

As some will know Pestalozzi has been sold and we are unsure of future events on this site so we would like to make this show the biggest one yet.

Anyone that wants an entry form please PM me and I can send or email you one .

Unfortunately I'll not be able to make it this year. Been having a bit of trouble with my legs. Particularly  the right one. The one I hurt when nearly taking a dive of the house roof. When I got back from Newby Hall after a 2-1/2 hr drive, I could hardly walk to open  the yard gate and the tractors were left on the trailer, to be unloaded the following day. So a 380 mile drive is out of the question. Unless the doc can work a miracle or two. :(

How many times have you been up to Newby Hall, Nigel? ONCE if I remember correctly. Now how many times have I made the 380 mile drive south? 4? 5?

Sorry to see your not coming down this year, you’re gonna miss a good show

I know Chris. Also yours and Pam's hospitality. Plus the rest of the usual group.

Hope you’re bringing a plough or something to work in the play pen Andrew

I got a Brinly cultivator which I bought from Harry which he's bringing up with him on the Saturday.

Just been to a site meeting before the show and we have 30+ exhibits booked in the Horticultural section which I’m very pleased with, I’m holding the entries open for a few more days if anyone wants to join us but contact me asap for forms and entry tickets.

Thanks everyone for your support.

Andrew, as I am unable to attend this year, keep an eye on Alan and keep him away from bramble bushes.
