Home built mower UK version

Recommended Posts

After seeing CNews fantastic mower project it got me thinking...

I had a spare O&R engine in stock and a very sad looking Nash Boadicea mower with a tired JAP 34 on it...

It's not finished yet, just a bit of fun using what bits I have in stock... :)

That’s a great looking mower, never seen one like that. Interesting design concept with the wood roller/wheels.  It looks awesome with the O&R on it!  Can’t wait to see the final product when you’re all done.

No mate as its aluminium I have cleaned all the paint off and leaving it as bare ally, looks ok to me...

Yep looks nice, I just thought British racing green would contrast well with the red and the wood:thumbs:

The handle has traces of green on it so that will be redone green

Looks very nice, but I can't help thinking if it was used as a mower the bare aluminium would corrode very quickly.

David

It has Black Waxoyl underguard underneath the deck and will be clear lacquered on top (eventually)...

Very nice!  I like the bare aluminum too. The green handle makes a nice accent along with the wooden rollers and red engine!

Nice job Paul.    Think I saw a Boadicea at John's during the clear out., could that be the one. ?

Its not that one Alan, if I had seen the one at Johns I would have had that ! :(
