Since I read the posts I discover that Wheel Horse is the main garden tractor in England, no? Myself I had the chance to visit the WH factory in South Bend (Indiana) in 1970. A good souvenir still in my memory Does thi factory stll exist or is it like the Gravely factory in Devon???
Nice to hear about Mountfield mowers!! In the 60s and 70s my parents who worked for a seed big seller in France used to sell Mountfield mowers and tillers imported by this big company! Myself I used the tiller for demo at that time: nostalgia!!!!
As you talk about graveyard mowers, I remember that once I saw in french TV the mowers used by the american in the WWII graveyard in Normandy. They looked like this one but they had modified handlebars to pass "through" the crosses. The handlebar was moulded to be able to follow the arm of the cross ar every tomb. Do you understand? pretty hard to explain for me!!
Thank you a lot for your answers. Also I use eBay gravely USA and like you the parts are cheaper overthere. In France it's terrible, usually the price climbs to three times the original american price!
Here we have other sale service on line as the Craiglist in America. The problem is that we have no many parts .
If someone needs parts from french engines or tillers, let me know I'll help with pleisure
I need to know if the Kohler engines K301 K321 and K341 (from 12 to 16hp) have the same crankshaft and camshaft as the stroke is the same in the three models
If you understand, can somebody give an answer? Thank you
