  2. there's a few more photos of the Tiger.
  3. Thanks guys, its a Kubota 17hp 3 cylinder oil burner. Loads of pulling power with independent sided breaking and rear and front PTO. Triumph66 - the Sports car in the background is a 1965 Sunbeam Tiger (5.0ltr, V8, LSD, 300+bhp). It was previously a sprint/hill racer (0-62 in about 4 and a 1/2 seconds). It had a fair bit of success competing in the Isle of Mann events during the 80s/90S. I've been refurbishing it over the past 2-3 years and would say its a good 8/9 out of 10. Its a lot of fun and fairly useable if a tinge tough on the clutch leg, very hard suspension, sticks like glue round corners and a true a Subaru beater!
  4. I've now stripped the cub down, started on prepping the panels for paint, fabricating the snowplough for fitting and found a crack in the alloy transmission bracket - oh hum!
  5. Hi everyone, I’m new to My Old Machine having recently acquired a Cub Cadet 1772 barn find. Please see the attached photos. The Cub was imported to the UK from the USA in the 90s and has remained unused for more than 10 years. Surprisingly, after I put a battery on it, cleaned the fuel system/added fresh diesel and check the oil/coolant it started first time! a testimony to the quality of build. I plan to complete a full nut and bolt restoration to bring it back to factory release condition, with additional items if possible. I have loads of questions that other members may be able to help me with if able. It has a rear PTO running at 2000ish RPM, so can I run any implements, if so what do I need (ie clutch) and what can I attach? I'd like to know if its possible to fit - a 3 point hitch? if so what do I need? a front loader, if so what do I need? a backhoe, if so what do I need? I’ve carried-out an initial inspection and need the following items - Bonnet plastic badge (Cud Cadet) Replacement seat (tin looks good) A few of the handle covers are missing so will need replacements Would the importation of second hand or used parts be subject to taxes? Sorry for all the questions but hopefully someone you can point me in the right direction. Kind regards Ian
