guest 0 #1 Posted July 8, 2019 Hi, Just got hold of a British Anzani Iron Horse with the J.A.P. mod 6 engine. It is complete apart from the implements but the engine had no compression. (I have stripped down many motorcycle engines in the past with no major problems, documenting where things come from and taking the appropriate photos) so when I made a major mistake of not noting which way the piston that has a cut from the bottom of the skirt almost up to the oil ring was positioned ie. does the cut go to the valve side or the other side? Thanks David
Anglo Traction 1,016 #2 Posted July 8, 2019 Can't help with the orientation of the piston. Hoping to become familiar with J.A.P engines soon. Suggest that if you are keeping the machine and using it, it may be worth obtaining a J.A.P Manual to assist with the engine assembly- Manual
