Thanks for the replies about the genset. Attached is a photo of a Penguin and an NOS engine for it. The engine is a Villiers 9E, 197cc two stroke. It is essentially a motorcycle engine and 4 speed transmission unit with fan cooling and a reversible electric starter. The engine runs CW, and CCW. The Penguin was produced in 1963-64 in Canada, and one was presented to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip in Oct. 1964.
I am new to this group and am looking for information about my Sachs powered Conyers battery charging generator. I believe it is a 1967 model. i am hoping that someone has instructions to change the output voltage from 12 to 6 , or 24 volts. I have owned it for about 6 years, it runs great and the generaor works.
I got it as a bonus when purchasing a Villiers powered Penguin Amphibious ATV.

Yes, the fan is on the left side of the engine.The fuel tank is part of the Penguin body. Sorry about the upside down picture.
