Vinnetrow 129 #1 Posted August 3, 2014 Does anyone have any experience with Peerless 1200 transaxles? If so what is the difference between that and the 2300 series other than the extra gear. Is 1st slower, or is 4th faster? Or are all ratios different? While we're here, the transaxle came out of a Jacobsen three wheeled tractor thingy, with a Kohler K181 mounted directly above it. Does anyone have info on these? I'm struggling to find any. Cheers Max
neil 524 #2 Posted August 3, 2014 What is it that you are struggling to find . Is it the K181 kohler that you need info on ?
Vinnetrow 129 #3 Posted August 3, 2014 Hi Neil, No, it is the Jacobsen three wheeler it came off. The only way I can describe it is, like a Honda ATC with a fairing around the front wheel and the Kohler mounted behind the driver. It also had handlebars. Ian 2,417 #4 Posted August 4, 2014 Hi Max, this link may help you out a bit.. http://www.wfmfiles.com/download/Tecumseh-Peerless_Motion_Drive_System_-_Transmissions_&_Differentials%28691218%29.pdf I do have a 2300 sitting under my bench getting I the way. I've never never used it so I can't help you out on the differences between the 1200 and 2300.. I know the 2300 is a 4 speed with a strange shift pattern!
