Chris 642 #1 Posted March 20, 2015 I have just brought a very good howard gem with 12hp kohler engine I can just about start it using the crank handle. What a killer!! howardman 30 #2 Posted March 20, 2015 I usually use my foot to kick the starter handle over .....the pull starter on the k301 is not the best really....if its tuned well with good clean points a few kicks should get it going. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
