mattblack 76 #2 Posted April 30, 2022 Could the gearbox on the end of the shaft be getting hot due to lack of lubricant? I take it the guard is in position and line cutter blade is present? Reason I ask is when I worked on hire machines we we would get them back with the guard moved up the shaft so more line would feed out, I was told this put more strain on the gearbox so the hirer would be charged for a new one.
