Patrick 0 #1 Posted April 22, 2014 Greetings all. I have been contacted by a gentleman residing in Cheddar who is seeking help with regards to the carburettor on his Gutbrod tractor, which I understand keeps flooding when the engine is not under load. Unfortunately I am not aware just which model tractor he has or indeed the make of engine but I think that it is a MAG. Any help/advise would be much appreciated. The Fife Plooman 632 #3 Posted April 24, 2014 Hi Patrick if it is a bing carburetor check the float it may be filled with petrol causing the float to sink and cause flooding Leave the petrol in float fill a tray with very hot water, submerse the float in the water hold it down . if there is petrol in the float is will come out like a little stream of bubbles mark where it comes out and lightly solder it hope this helps George S
