  1. Suspected the crankcase bearing are shot so looking for new to crankcase bearings

  3. The engine has been rebuilt still more work needing done New piston rings have been gapped and fitted
  4. Work shop opened and nice weather on Saturday and few visitor popped in started work on blackburne engine honed the cylinder barrel Now the new piston rings have been gapped and fitted
  5. Hey dave thats a braw machine you have there. Are you going to make an allotment with that large bit of ground and put in tatties ( 1st top photo ) OMG kens going to be busy planting seed tatties.
  6. New replacement smallend arrived for the blackburne engine soon be running again
  7. As suspected the Blackburne Engine needs new piston rings. And the wee end is showing sign of wear. new valve guides fitted new piston ring have been sourced.
  8. I think ken bought it for is son to help with garden jobs very nice display
  9. It's in the tub for a scrub had new valve guides put in cylinder head next job to grind in the valves. Workshop shut now
  10. New seat fitted first class job done by first class seat upholstery done By local company in Edinburgh Number plate now fitted this project is now comming to an end soon
  11. Ken can demonstrate the Ransome mower @ Wimbledon and have strawberry and ice cream.

  14. I have the Howard dragon operating instruction and part list
  15. After a bit of searching now have Road legal number plates. Now have new warning lamps
  16. the fire breathing dragon is a live keep ken away is he fire retardant nice machine
  17. now its time to see if the engine will spark and bypass the fuel tap and fuel pump needs cleaned out pipe work full of old crap That will be the next job to overhaul the fuel pump and tap leaks. Sparkplug is sparking now to put a small amount of fuel down plug hole Yes it offered to fire. I just tied a spare old fuel tank that was kicking about the workshop connected up fuel lines and it now running. That's enough for today still more to do the next few weekends
  18. New points have been gapped new sparkplug gapped Started to rebuild front of the engine

Here we are back at the workshop today starting to find out why we have no spark at the plug Started to remove front mask to get into the point Starting to remove flywheei Have now removed flywheel found more snail Here I have got to the bottom of the problem points dirty so whipped them out will clean them later. Replaced them with new points.
  20. The day was coming to an end fitted the mud wings That's all folks stay safe enjoy the rest of the Bank holiday weekend Hame time now.
  21. The next job was to fit dashboard surround and fit petrol tank bracket battery tray. Refit rear lift frame then refit petrol tank. Refit the all the odds and connector up clutch brake pedals
  22. Great weather on Saturday work continues on Gutbrod 1032 refitted top of the transmission tunnel with steering column and new brass brushes fitted into socket Next job to tackle was to refit the swivelling rear hitch
  23. Thanks for you comment stormin the cylinder and bore appears to be very slightly scored this tractor hasn't be running for 10yrs But it will come alive again over the next few weekends.. Some new parts arrived today replacement indicators
  24. Found more snail shell under the seat thats all I keep finding.
