Aiming to be at Isfield next weekend, I'll bring a couple of bits, and a few items for exchange........ -
I think it's an 80, JAP two-stroke engine with a rectangular tank riveted between pressed steel handlebars. I can get some pictures later.
-
Landmaster Gardenmaster with Jap engine. Reasonable unrestored condition. Engine turns but no spark. £25. collect from the Southampton area
-
Mountfield M1 with mower attachment (no rotovator attachment). Has run this year, but is difficultto start. £30, collection from the Southampton area.
-
Lister D for sale, not run for a couple of years. Scruffy but did run well. Mag removed for dry storage, but will be with the engine. £75, collect from the Southampton area.
-
Set of Landmaster transport wheels, I think for a 120, £5, collect from Southampton area (could post these, but it wouldn't be cheap).
-
Merry Tiller Major professional machine - gearbox good, engine (Clinton) is free but missing some parts (carb and starter), plus a spare engine (good carb, no starter). £30, collect rom Southampton.

Loads of stuff on the website here: www.g1jbg.co.uk/autoculto They were responsible for lots of machinery under the Auto Culto, Horticulto, Midgiculto Autogardener and Godiva Mowers brands, as well as holding some patents for piston rings, and manufacturing steam engines (maiinly, as far as I can tell, for small river boats).

the website of the auto culto register: www.g1jbg.co.uk/autoculto has been updated with some extra information, and some new brochures and articles

The Ladybird electric mower

Very unusual "universal" (AC or DC mains) motor. Very low profile, looks like it eas specially made. I do have a spare "iron" type plug, if you break that one at any time. If the brushes are worn, you'll have to find some of a similar size and file them to fit, unless you are REALLY lucky! -

Merry tiller load carrier

Very useful - mine often goes to rallies, as it's ideal for taking the 25l water carrier over to the tap....... -
The Ladybird electric mower

Be interested to see what the motor looks like - couldn't decide if it has a normaly-ish motor and a right angle drive, or a thin vertical motor. -
Glad you had a good day! Weather was even hotter on Sunday, but the Trusty didn't get a second outing as we were short of a driver (everyone I asked looked at it and said "no b****y way" - there seems to be a shortage of volunteers for that one!). The Auto Culto didn't need towing out of the ring on Sunday, but it will need the timing adjusting. Our next local rally is the Dene Rally, at Four MArks, near Alresford in June.
