  1. With some tinkering around I got it to run, with a caveat. Playing with the primer I was able to get the engine to run with the carb half open and the needle open to about 2.5 turns. I backed the needle out further and I was able to run it with the carb fully open. It ran this way for about 2-3 minutes then shut off, flooded or starved I'm guessing. I made some adjustments and went to pull it again and the cord pulled almost freely, there was little engagement. A couple more pulls and little engagement. I played around with it some more and it was cool now and engaging again. Do these heat up that quickly and the parts are that loose this happens, or is mine more loose than typical? I haven't tried to restart it since cool down as I wonder if something else potentially happened.
  2. I did this and there were bubbles. I also used a fuel removal tool through the port and was able to suck fuel out, so there's no real issue there. I took apart and reassembled the carb again to give it another clean. Once connecting it I was able to get some priming. I put it all back together and gave it some pulls and the engine starts to run for about 2 seconds then runs lean/dry and quits. A few more primes and a few more pulls and it'll do the same thing. So it'll run but won't continue pulling fuel. Is this indicative of the needle not being properly adjusted? Second question, how tight do the other two fuel ports need to be sealed to one another? Do they need to be airtight, or can the tube sit on them somewhat freely?
  3. So I tried blowing air into the inlet and you can only blow air when you push the button. When I try to suck air the other direction, it won't pass at all regardless of the button.
  4. Here's the upper carb body The lower carb body: The carb:
  5. Any guesses on why my carb won't prime? I've tried the build with and without the large diaphragm's gasket (2 came in the ebay kit). I've tried with a half turn and with a turn and a half of the needle. It just doesn't want to pull vacuum.
  6. @Webhead I've tried msging you a few times but the system won' let me for some reason. Anyways, do you have any diaphragms for sale still? Can you send me the cost?
  7. I tried the suck/blow and when I blow there's no movement unless I push the valve down. When I suck there is no movement at all regardless of the button. The diaphragm is soft, but it may be a little too loose. It has some imprint in it and it may be damaged as the previous owner had the diaphragm/metal insert order backwards. The smaller check valve is certainly an issue in my carb though. I thought it was seating well but when I took it apart again, it's not seating anywhere near the hole. This diaphragm is also harder, so there's not much movement. The screen I cleaned before, so it's ok. After looking at the gaskets more, they're probably ok.
  8. It won't start, the engine spins freely. I added some carb cleaner to the air inlet and had it running for a few secs but it didn't pull any fuel in. So I'm guessing the gasket which is a little warped is likely not sealing where it should...? I'll go through the tutorials and see if I missed something, thanks for posting them. It looks like you might sell the gaskets, do you still have them?
  9. Hey Wallfish did you ever create the engine assembly thread? I just picked up one of the Tiny Tiger 300's, I've taken apart the engine and carb and reassembled and I still can't get it to turn over. I'm wondering what I did wrong. Does the carb prime with the button? Mine does not. The carb gasket could also be a little loose on my setup.
