usedtoolman 19 #1 Posted March 24, 2015 Attached are pictures of my restored Comet chainsaw. When I got this, the handle was missing. Wallfish was kind enough to loan me a handle which I used as a template to bend a new one. Also the prong that sticks down below the blade was broken off and missing. I was able to graft on a piece of aluminum and blend it to shape. 2 nigel and pmackellow reacted to this
Wallfish 698 #2 Posted March 25, 2015 That's a clothing iron used by tailors in the old days. They can't smash the clothes with a hammer when they get frustrated (like us engine guys do with mechanical things), so they hack them up with that contraption! Looks great Jim, certainly one of the strangest looking chainsaws ever made.
