OldBuzzard 186 #1 Posted June 10, 2015 Gents, I finally found a photo of a decal that I need for the refurbishment of the HDT1000. Unfortunately it isn't in the best of shape and some of it isn't readily readable. Some of it is unreadable but I'm thinking that if you know German, French, or Swedish you can help me fill in the blanks. Here's the decal in question. I may be getting a bit higher resolution photo of it and might be able to post that if necessary. 1 Triumph66 reacted to this
HeadExam 1,783 #2 Posted June 13, 2015 German: Vor Dem Schalten Zum Stillstand Kommen, letters missing after zum, not sure what????? French: Arrestez complete avant de, some letters missing after complete?? Swedish: This is a translation in the vernacular, not direct translation I'm not sure what the third language down is???? but I think it may still be part of the french translation from the previous line
sten 84 #3 Posted June 13, 2015 The German translation is "Before shifting come to a halt"
HeadExam 1,783 #4 Posted June 13, 2015 The German translation is "Before shifting come to a halt" The American translation is on top of the decal, no problem understanding what it says. OB is looking for the correct spelling and use of the foreign languages, However knowing what exact phrase in the particular dialect was used is important because The American phrase at the top is not what phrase or words were used in the other languages
OldBuzzard 186 #5 Posted June 13, 2015 I have a thread on this over at the GTT forums as well. So far we are pretty sure that it is: COME TO COMPLETE STOP BEFORE SHIFTING. VOR DEM SCHALTEN ZUM VÖLLIGEN STILLSTAND KOMMEN. ARRETEZ COMPLETEMENT AVANT DE CHANGER DE VITESSE. STANNA HELT FÖRE VÄXLING. 2 nigel and HeadExam reacted to this
