HeadExam 1,783 #1 Posted November 4, 2015 and on which side of the car should the steering wheel be? After reading the article I'm still confused http://www.cheatsheet.com/automobiles/why-we-drive-on-the-right-or-wrong-side-of-the-road.html/?a=viewall 1 Triumph66 reacted to this
Triumph66 1,256 #2 Posted November 4, 2015 I believe there was an opportunity in the 1950s in the UK to drive on right instead of the left. Sweden 'stopped' all traffic for a few days in the 1950s while the road signs were swapped around and road markings revamped. Car headlights were swapped over as well. Unfortunately it's too late now to change this in the UK. it would make life easier for us Brit's who drive over to Europe and the cost of buying new vehicles would be cheaper as everything would be standardised. Stormin 4,458 #3 Posted November 4, 2015 Well there you have it at the end. We English are in the right driving on the left in the first place. The French messed things up. 1 HeadExam reacted to this

As the French are noted for doing, signed Alain Michel Pepin... A Frenchman, lol
