BSA 1 #1 Posted November 13, 2015 Hi all, I've just found myself this old BSA unit. I'm trying to figure out what it would of been used for as the fuel tank sits high and unusually it has no recoil but a kick start. Any ideas out there? 1 Ian reacted to this
Anglo Traction 1,016 #2 Posted November 13, 2015 Welcome. These were often used to power things like machinery in Outbuildings and Farms where there wasn't any power supply. The long vertical Exhaust on yours look's like it may have been installed in such a location so as to route the fumes to the outside. What are your plans for it?. BSA 1 #4 Posted November 14, 2015 I've not tried to fire it up, the fuel line is missing and there's very little compression. I used to be a dairy farmer and have seen a fair few little engines, bale lifts and so on but never seen one with a kick start like this. It's needing a fuel pipe and new ht lead from what I can see. I'd like to get a single milker unit if I can. Just a small vacuum pump running a churn.
