Ransomes256 18 #1 Posted April 25, 2016 I recently purchased a quantity of new spares and as part of the arrangement had to take the tractor. This is a very good MG6 serial number 12304 circa 1957 which does not appear to have seen much work. Fitted with a Ransomes 600cc petrol engine and standard 3 speed gearbox with the optional PTO and Hydraulic rear lift. The lift cylinder is the large version and all works well. The Amal 356/1 carburettor has been serviced and the magneto overhauled. Compression was low so valves have been lapped in and bore is on standard size. Engine starts and runs very sweet. Tracks are exceptional as are the drive wheels and weight carrying rollers. Ideal as a working machine or for ploughing matches.
