expeatfarmer 591 #26 Posted August 6, 2017 I am going to show my ignorance and ask the question . What do these slot hitches actually do?
Stormin 4,458 #27 Posted August 6, 2017 They accept implements and attachments, like ploughs etc that you want to lift of the ground. Photo below is of tool bar with plough attached inserted into slot hitch. Better shot. This time with scarifire attached.
mowerdar 98 #28 Posted August 24, 2017 You wouldn't happen to be thinking of making a Clevis hitch and standard hitch to fit in one of the slot hitches would you?
Stormin 4,458 #29 Posted August 24, 2017 It has crossed my mind.
mowerdar 98 #30 Posted August 24, 2017 I know some one (cough me cough)who would be very interested
Stormin 4,458 #31 Posted August 24, 2017 A standard hitch to fit a slot hitch would just be a piece of flat bar with a hole in each end. I may be making some more slot hitches and clevis ones at some future time.
Westie1 29 #32 Posted February 16, 2019 Sorry for resurecting this but do you have any of these hitches for sale or any drawings? I've got a slot hitch plough coming and looking at options. If I go clevis I'll have to buy the hitch and then convert the plough. Thanks thought it's worth an ask.
