Ohlsson & Rice: Looking for a part suggestion

So I opened up a carburetor this afternoon to clean it and a previous owner had lost the little metal roller that gets pinched by the spring clip near the rear of the lever arm. Has anyone found a suitable replacement for this part? I was thinking of maybe cutting a small piece of heavy wire, perhaps even from a beefy paper clip or something.  I haven’t gone to the hardware store yet, maybe they carry some heavy gauge steel rod in tiny diameters?

Hobby stores have 3’ lengths of different gauge rod. Find the right one and you have 3 lifetimes worth.

I have sometimes found appropriate sized rods in old/broken tape recorder mechanisms, usually salvaged from old stereos that have been thrown out (so cost is free ).
