expeatfarmer 591 #1 Posted June 19, 2020 Does anyone have the small disc brake caliper assembly off a Peerless transaxle as fitted to Husqvarna Ride on mowers, mine has failed and new parts not available mower tends to run away on the steep drive which is not good for the blood pressure. Wristpin 400 #2 Posted June 19, 2020 Not good news. Last week had an email from brother in law in Somerset - brake failure on his 20 year old Husqvarna LT 125 with a Peerless box. saving grace may be that there were plenty of those boxes in use and a good few broken for parts. Stormin 4,458 #3 Posted June 20, 2020 I've still got the trans off that Husqvarna I got off you, Jonathan. Don't think I'll be using it.
expeatfarmer 591 #4 Posted June 20, 2020 Does it have the small disc brake fitted to the left side?

expeatfarmer 591 #6 Posted June 25, 2020 Although spare axle was not a Peerless, the only difference in the brake assembly was the mounting bolts were M8 on the new one and M6 on the old so I drilled the crankcase and re tapped to the larger size. Many thanks Norman. 1 Stormin reacted to this
