tvenetis 0 #178 Posted February 1, 2023 Does any one know there to get ohlsson engine gaskets like the one that goes around the read valve assembly and the round gasket that goes over the read valve assembly before you put the case together?

tvenetis 0 #184 Posted February 5, 2023 I am trying to put the diaphragm assembly together and I showed a friend who was helping me and he thinks it will still work without putting the small pin in the groove. He said it still pivots correctly with out it what do you people think thanks.
CNew 404 #185 Posted February 5, 2023 Probably work but you could make a little pin using some stiff wire or cut a small piece off a large paper clip. 1 tvenetis reacted to this
tvenetis 0 #186 Posted February 5, 2023 The carburetor assembly I am working with has a rubber that was on the lever. Can I put a ball in the hole because the rubber fell off the arm?
tvenetis 0 #187 Posted February 11, 2023 On the engines with the gas tank on the bottom how are you supposed to replace the filter in the tank.
Wallfish 697 #188 Posted February 12, 2023 You're not supposed to. The only way to access them is to split the tank open. Thought you had to do this before? All of them are a screen on the bottom of a small cone. Soak with carb cleaner in the tank. Then I use something like this connected with a fuel line to force flush the cleaner back and forth through the screen. Never had to open a tank yet. If the tube is filled with gunk you can use a fine wire to clean most of it out but BE CAREFUL not to poke it through the screen.
tvenetis 0 #189 Posted February 12, 2023 Yes I did it before but now the screen came off the connection inside the tank.
tvenetis 0 #190 Posted February 13, 2023 I have some of that thing gas line that ohlsson sold how do I soften it up so I can use it thanks.
Wallfish 697 #191 Posted February 13, 2023 You can try soaking it in carb cleaner but new fuel line is fairly cheap
tvenetis 0 #192 Posted February 13, 2023 I realize that but the small line might fit on the carburetor tighter.
Wallfish 697 #193 Posted February 16, 2023 You can buy small line too
tvenetis 0 #194 Posted February 16, 2023 Thanks John on the carburetor arms that have the rubber on it if the rubber is bad can I put a ball in the hole like the older carbs?
Wallfish 697 #195 Posted February 16, 2023 No, the hole isn't the same and the arm is different. You can switch to a ball type as it will bolt right on to the same carb body
tvenetis 0 #196 Posted February 27, 2023 I had a friend help me pack the needle bearings on the connecting rod where it goes on the crankshaft and that was not easy. I wish there was a easier way to position them on the connecting rod.
tvenetis 0 #197 Posted March 5, 2023 I am replaceing a coil on a ohlsson engine but how do you feed the wire around the cylinder to put it on the stud thanks.
tvenetis 0 #198 Posted March 10, 2023 On the gasket that goes over the read valve which is supposed to seal the cover can you use a o ring instead?
tvenetis 0 #199 Posted March 13, 2023 I am working on a chain saw and had to take the handle apart to fix the throttle cable. I can't figure where the spring on the throttle cable is supposed to hook to. I figure one end goes around the cable on the trigger and there is another end of the spring is bent at a right angle and has a long straight end but where does that go thanks.
