Not to get too off-topic, but this is what's on my camper.
It's the entire axle, not just a cap. The grease from the zerk flows through the axle and exit's behind the rear bearing, then pushes forward. You do this by spinning the wheel, when the grease comes out the front both bearings got lubed.

Steve, that came out really nice!
-
That's a great idea. Hopefully the neighbors kids don't replace that one with a FULL container.... BOOM!
-
Huh, I never thought of that, glad you posted it!

I was able to get the cover off the mattress, washed it really good. Put the foam outside washed good with water and laundry detergent, then to dry in the hot sun for a couple of days, spraying constantly with mold killer (to be safe). New is $250! Hopefully this will do the trick, that and the kids leaving the windows CLOSED!

My understanding is that it pumps it to the back first then forces the old grease out the front, so the back gets lubed. Doing mine next week.

Eternabond for roofs. I need to re-do the slideout tape on my 5th, and I'm getting eternabond to do the job. While not caulk, it's great for roofs.
Is the grey odor coming from the inside or the outside?
Don't use bleach it will kill the bacteria (good and bad). Do you have 1 grey water tank or 2?

That is a great idea. There's so much those ATV'v can do, I've had the need to just that too!

We lost power last week for about 2 hours. I did fire up the generator which essentially powered the house. It is wired into the house (not back fed) but it isn't enough to run EVERYTHING, but we have heat, hot water, television (we have satellite) and lights. I have even turned a burner or 2 on the electric stove and the generator handled it with ease.
I bought it when Sandy was on its way, but we really didn't lose power during the storm.

Kids left a window open and one of the mattress's got SOAKED. It measures 30 x 74 and is 3 inches thick. The current mattress is a cheap piece of foam, looking for ideas!

The EZ-Lube instructions actually tell you to pump it in till it comes out (the front anyway)
-
Very nice write up. My little trailer has bearings which I should probably pack. My 5th wheel has ez-lube bearings with a zerk on the cap to plug in the grease gun and pump it up!

That is slick, did you by chance take pictures of the build process?
-
You know what else, Harbor Freight is having a big sale ending Sunday June 9th. Good time to visit them if you have one near by.
-
Mine is noisy too and I am certain it's from the air intake. There are silencers which you can purchase which may help.

Are you thinking Mig or arc? 110, or 220?

Shortly before Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast last year, I was able to get a 9Kw generator in the event of a power failure. It's a noisy little bugger so my intention is to build an enclosure for it. I purchased a large plastic shed which easily holds the generator (and a few gas cans) and I plan to equip it with vents with fans for cooling, insulation for sound reduction, and fitting for an external exhaust with automotive muffler and tall stack. I've seen these things on the internet so I know it will work

That is really awesome! I loved the video of it moving, absolutely beautiful.
So my daughter (Brittany) asked if the trucks doors opened? With the detail you put in there it wouldn't surprise me if the engine ran
-
That's amazing! My wife has an uncle who uses match sticks, and made some beautiful artwork as well. Your creations are so detailed, I love the underside of the truck and the firewall details as well. These are really nice, thank you for sharing!

Honestly, I would be lost without my favorite all time tool, the simple surgical clamp. I have found more uses for this tool than any other tool that I own. It's good for just about everything.
-
That is really nice, and a great idea!
-
I guess I can't blame you on that one. A portable pressure cooker can be a hazard!
-
Very cool! Have you thought of building a steam boiler for that too?
