  1. I prefer the mac that's next to the bolens the bobcat looks cool too, you have to go with what you want!
  2. I really like the old big saws, they cut easier because of the weight. defiantly get the bolens saw it will be a beast, a 8hp! my danarm is a 5hp I think and it has so much power the coolest saw I've ever seen is a v8 truck engine being used in a hot saw competition! it was so loud
  3. these are some pics of the saw, but at the moment the saw is in pieces being rebuilt so I know that there isn't anything wrong and so I can use it for cutting and to take to shows. I put it next to one of my stihl saws (321) to show the size difference some more pics soon of the saw in pieces
  4. I have to say that, it seems that you are always finding awesome machines! over here in the uk there isn't that much of the old garden tractor parts or attachments saying that there isn't many garden tractor! great find wish that was my Christmas present! lol Regards Joe
  5. will get some pics up very soon and thanks for the help Joe

  9. that angle that the picture is taken makes the tractor look massive! and awesome:)
  10. I would check local selling sites and ebay to see if someone is trying to sell it quickly Regards Joe

  13. it seems around wales (UK), there is a lot of small engine tractors which sit for years at farms or just abandoned in sheds, because people don't know how much there worth or what they are!
  14. great pic and its amazing some people love the small tractors at these shows , but others in the bigger modern tractors treat you as a nightmare but at the end of the day as long as you have a great day its all good and makes people see that the small tractor community is building and becoming more popular. regards joe
  15. its a 5hp Briggs, that ive just serviced at my business (new oil, filters, sparkplug, blade sharpen) These Bolens, of what ive heard fetch around £60-£75 so cheap for what they are Regards Joe the handle is the same on mine to adjust, its also a front wheel drive with a pulley under the front cover.
  16. here is my new to me Bolens mulching mower. I got it as a part exchange for the mountfield sp555 mower. I've used it around my yard for cutting grass some of heights of 2 feet! its great it never bogs going through high wet grass, its a great old work horse!
  17. love all the great puns! it made me chuckle! thanks for the help with the spark plug. I remember when my granddad was working on a ransome I was about 8 years old when he said just hold the end of the sparkplug, I said "ok", he then turned the engine over I jumped up I looked over and there he was laughing his head off! all I could say was that "bloody hurt" great memories
  18. I know of a few people that didn't know what sparkplug to put in the 16HP thanks everyone for the help, new sparkplugs for me! and head for that matter
  19. hi there I have always had a J8C champion copper plus sparkplug in my wheel horse 16HP kohler! But I bought a second hand head of Alian and I placed my sparkplug in it and the end of the sparkplug is about 0.2-0.3 cm from the end of the hole. usually when I see sparkplugs in lawn mowers/ any small engine equipment I have worked on in my shop the spark plug is either flush with the end on the hole or sticking out in the engine, just wondered if the sparkplug is ok as is as it works in the engine I have, but is it the right one? Regards Joe What do you use in your 16HP?
  20. looks awesome! I wish I had a D-160 for all the log and forest work I do, but it seem there isn't many of the large wheel horses in the UK!
