Keene Water pump

Recommended Posts

Here is what looks like a complete (apart from the engine carb) Keene Engineering (of 11483 Van Owen, North Hollywood) water pump with the dredge fittings & sluice box (Model 1501). These pictures were permanently borrowed from ePay.

It even had the instructions & parts list.

Here are some pictures of mine, the guy I bought it from did have the sluice box but as it got sold separately it didn't head my way, they didn't have any of the other bits though.

That certainly looks like something that could be scanned and 3D printed with either FDM or SLS technology in a Nylon material or even a higher performance polymer like PPSU, PEI or PEKK.  If you decide to get it scanned sometime let me know and maybe I can give it a go with 3D printing.

Might even be a good candidate for a machined version in aluminum. Heck it could also be machined from a stock shape of polymer.

All good suggestions, it might a while before I get round the restoring it, but I'll have a look sometime to see how easy it is to remove.

Nice find, it's probably best to email some high resolution scanned images and I can create a pdf for the manuals sticky thread.

Pictures in posts are limited in resolution to save server space.

I've just had a look at the pictures on the ebay listing, apparently they used the Olsen and Rice engine. :yankchain:

At least that explains why these engines get misspelt so often.
