expeatfarmer 591 #1 Posted May 8, 2015 My 30" Ransomes TB engined mower was in my garage/workshop, I turned on the petrol, tickled the carb. turned the crank and it started first pull after 6 months !! Decided that whilst it was running I better cut the grass. If any one needs a crash fitness programme buy one of these, open the throttle the slightest amount and it takes off with you at the run. The machine is a Ransomes Mk 11 30" mower which dates from late 1930's 1 Triumph66 reacted to this
Stormin 4,458 #2 Posted May 8, 2015 Didn't you try cutting fence posts down with that last year? Or was that t'other one? BTW. If I squint, I can see my house on that photo'.
Triumph66 1,256 #3 Posted May 8, 2015 That's a lovely vintage cylinder mower. I use to mow the Croquet Lawn at Castle Drogo with a 42 " Dennis mower which in my professional opinion is one of the nicest cylinder mowers on the market at the time. You can't beat them for presentation.
Ian 2,417 #4 Posted May 9, 2015 That is quite a beast It could be a wise move to fit a tow behind seat to it to save your legs
expeatfarmer 591 #5 Posted May 11, 2015 I have one to fit it but the roller is fused to the shaft, have it soaking in diesel to free it off.
