Ardingly Autojumble 23/02/14

Recommended Posts

Went to an autojumble at Ardingly Showground today

Its mainly car stuff but occasionally something of interest pops up, last Novembers jumble yielded a Greensleeeves lawn edger for a fiver, the same amount was paid today to my mate Tony the Land Rover man for this 2hp Briggs and Stratton engine

OK the exhaust is knackered but its worth a fiver for bits alone,,, :)

I have two of those engines, one gold as the picture and one silver which is a later dated model.

You are right Paul as mine are on my 14" & 18" Webb cylinder mowers, haven't had any problems with them they start very easily even when sat all winter

Oh right, cheers Gareth I was not aware of that.

I believe it was also the same with the 4and 5hp Briggs, the 4hp was a slowed down 5hp.

yes im curious as to what you mean?? Briggs engines sold over there are based on the bore and stoke to make the hp. There might have been a time back in the 30's where the rpm's was increase to get more power, but not in anything im aware of since then.
