  2. Hi All This a new scarifier that we hired to do the Mill garden cost £30 for a day ,money well spent what do you think when I cut the grass it is nearly 4 miles today I cut it scarified it and lifted it no wander I am tired today

Hi all Some more pictures of our house and ongoing project next door the old stable block and cart shed was built in 1750 and converted into part of the house in 1960 The cassies and cobbles that were taken out lay in a pile in the garden I have used them to make a path that will blend in with character of the house when the garden is finished hope you like

Hi All Update on my house as you know we stay in the old post office house we found something that went with our theme We were at the local supermarket and we found these bird feeders now we have a phone box and post box in the front of the house and the back Also pics of Kiri and Kara at Lairds Loch Hope you like
  6. Hi Nice find make it reliable rub of the flaky rust give it a good wash down and paint it with owatrol oil it will look very good and will be one of the few that have been kept original But it is your so it is your choice George S

Hi all Another challenge for the year 2016 I have started on the garden next door the cottage used to be the stables and coach house for the post office as you know we stay in the old post office house and it was built in 1730 As you can see we have made a good start the next phase can begin now that we have moved the telegraph pole out of the way hope you like

  10. Hi All Upgrade on the garden Planted a beech hedge using merry tiller with drill plough to slacken of the ground also had a trial of making drills for make believe potatoes, hope you like

  12. Hi All More of my garden new grass has now been cut twice the repaired grass is coming along fine I have taken all the apples of the new trees only kept three on one tree for a trial feast HA HA

Hi All Last year i worked and sowed grass seed on Blair's garden One year one now that it is established we are starting to form the next part of the plan,digging out the flower beds believe me it is very hard. Started ploughing then started to dig out trench for a beech hedge with a digger it was the only way to go Hope you like

Hi All My next rally is on Sunday and the theme is pigs and potatoes I am taking George and the drill ploughs m also thinking about entering my tractor shed for tip of the year but I have started to tidy it up as I cannot find my tape measure Ha Ha Here are some pictures taken at rally on Sunday it was well attended the weather was good and the company was good there were twenty horticultural exhibits The last picture is of a mayfield tool-bar it is all there but little rusty it will be altered to fit my merrytiller

  16. Hi Wristpin I got the gasket from Meetins not cheap but I needed it. valves have been ground in new gasket fitted and running well Thanks George S

Hi All We have now been a year in our house we have been updating the garden the old tree was rotten and could have blown down so it had to go As it was our silver wedding anniversary we received some more plants I will be replacing the tree with two apple trees one called the bloody ploughman one called discovery more on this story later Hope you like The Fife Plooman

  20. Hi The Gutbrod and rotovator is a nice piece of kit If you are rotovatoring in earnest make a shallow pass then I usually rotovate half the width this is easier on the clutch until you get a set of hubs all the best

  22. Hi Give it a good clean down with Jizer or Gunk let it dry and paint it with Owatrol oil it is air dried oil and will keep it fine George S Keep your eye on fleebay the frames do appear
  23. Hi Showman When I got the drill ploughs they were painted and as at the time I was not going to work them. but before I go to the rally they will be cleaned and oiled George S

  25. Hi Nigel Gutbrod is the name of the tractor and Allan Motostandard was the firm in the UK that sold the tractors hope this helps
