ive only seen pics of the senior and looking forward to seeing neils at some point.but the gearboxes seem very alike three forward plus reverse .only the parts on the ota were fitted to a ford popular. As with many of these smaller tractors being built just after the war and the early to mid fifties in this country.
What a great restoration and I m loving seeing these little tractors we dont see in this country keep em coming.
What I would love to see now is a pond walk behind.
Engine is a techumseh/aspera like what the flymo s had on them neil .
So heres a pic of my garage and this is without whats at my old house and my mums!
This my sheen that I aquired from nigel and am in the process of rebuilding the engine was siezed up but now free and has super compression just got to get it finnished now .
Hi darren as explained not a part of Ardingly vintage show for exactly the reasons of charges and other politics.so thats why we are having a gathering at the small holders show the week before instead and theres no charges and most of us are attending. Theres also our small get together at the lavendet line in isfield near Uckfield in Sussex in march which is a very friendly day.
hi andyThe ota you have pictured is the early three wheel version. But these were not known as monarchs .it was only the four wheeled ones that were. Later on ota was taken over by singer cars .and I d ont think it was long after they stopped building these little gems.
Plenty more unusual machines in my collection ian so watch this space mate .oh and I d ont think the moles have got too
much to worry about as it takes me ages to get it to start .better off doing the garden by hand . Ha Ha
One of my unusal bits .again ive had a lot of years and gets more interest than anything else in my collection
Made by Robinson s of Winchester. Paul mackellow also now owns one with a hedge cutter attachment of which we usually display these
machines together and both run except mine is very temperamental unlike pauls.
Thaught you might like to see my ota monarch tractor of 1952.ive owned her for a lot of years now and she is one of my most prized pieces in my collection. It is powered by a ford 10 engine and is petrol paraffin.
Heres a couple of pics of some of the colwoods I own .
I Actually own five dating from 1946 to 1948.
Plus I also run a register for anything made by dashwood engineering of London who produced these machines.
