There used to be, may be still is, a delivery firm in Preston that ran Commer 2 stroke 3 cylinder diesels. Very distinctive sound. White van man has nothing on the lads that drove them.
Vintage brochures! Thanks. Now I really feel old. Mind, I wish I still had my BSA's and Triumphs. Not to mention Ajay's, Ariel's, Enfield's etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
Must admit I'm rather proud of it. Always wanted a decent sized workshop. Myself and a friend who's was in the building trade built it 5yrs ago. I made the doors myself.
I've got tools that belong to my father, one of his brothers and their father. There's a couple of those adjustable wrenches. I carry one in the tool bag on my bike.
Creosote/used engine oil mix was quite a widely used wood preservative once upon a time. I know of one or two 50yr old chicken sheds that are still going strong.
Remember CCM well. They took over the production of the BSA 441 single engine. Sold my last bike two years ago. Aprilia 650 Pegaso. Nothing like the sound of a four stroke single at full chat.
Take one Liner saw bench minus engine. One Lister single cylinder diesel engine. A pair of Land Rover hubs and wheels and some scrap box section and this is what you get.
Did a bit of rearranging today. Spitfire is now on the right with Wheel Horse C-81 and 12volt forklift, mower deck along side it. The C-125 goes along side those, so it can be pushed outside if needs be.
Off Topic, But Very Very Nice Restoration!
