Bought one of these off that well known auction site, picked it up on Sunday morning and it did its first show Sunday afternoon !!
Its a Norlett Beaver Powerspade, its got a Briggs petrol engine in it which runs as sweet as a nut, I bought it to compliment the
unusual electric Powaspade that I bought last year.

Cadet 81 has been retro fitted by the previous owner with a recoil start Honda engine (Mr Briggs he go bang), put
some juice in and it went first pull
Dating guide dates it correctly as a Cadet 81 and built in 1978
-
About 3, 3.5 I would imagine

If you want pipes for it Chris you could pinch them off that old Harley in your garage...
-
Did think about it Neil but was not sure where exactly you live in Bridgwater, I could have phoned you...

On the last day of our holiday in Norfolk, we went to the Sandringham Game and Country Fair
This show has a well supported vintage section and some friends of ours are involved with the section organisation.
Our mate Jim (jimbo on here) had been given a couple of mowers that morning, one of which was a Farmfitters Rapier
My radar went up as that is one machine I have not got in my Farmfitters collection, so Jim let me have it. many thanks Jimbo !!
Bella our dog was not best pleased in having to share the boot of the car with a mower but she coped !!

Facebook has its down sides but if you look on the right pages sometimes a good deal pops up

Day job ?? Oh yes I pop in there occasionally, today and tomorrow are holiday days
-
It was in Redruth (only 297 miles from home) saw it on Facebook (so it is worth looking at)

At the time I did not have the room, now I have... that was a Cadet 76 wasn't it ??
Thanks Mark, I am very pleased with it...

Just got back from a day trip to Cornwall (as you do) with this, its an International Cadet 81 of the late 70's period, complete
with mowing deck... rather pleased but somewhat tired now, started out from home at 2am and got home at 5pm...
I will have a good look at it tomorrow, it's parked in its new home now, here's some photos to be going on with...
-
Surprised you didn't keep that bonnet Chris !!

Hi Andrew I have subscribed to LAGT (as its now known) for a few years (its all Mr Showmans fault), and Kate the editor
has put some photos in from the UK,one of the Isfield Meet and Greets and the play day we had a while ago.
Subscription wise I ring them up (allowing for time difference) and renew on my debit card
