diggerjames 543 #1 Posted September 8, 2014 Hi all as most of you may know I'm a bit of a wheelhorse Nut , and we all like to make and design our own attachment and adapt our machines to be as versatile as possible I've seen some original wheel horse generators on the net but they are very rare so I've decided to build one . I first started by sourcing a 240v Generator off that site . Then I've now been designing my own quick release cradle for it to sit in . 1 Ian reacted to this

diggerjames 543 #13 Posted September 9, 2014 I'm hoping when we go too shows etc we can hook upto caravan etc to charge batteries , and also will be handy to use in the fields were we need mains power tools. James
diggerjames 543 #14 Posted September 9, 2014 Hi all a bit more of an update on HorsePower, I've finished the basic cradle with a few addons I need to do like belt adjuster etc , although I've had the genny working in the past it now seems it's lost it's excitement and needs exciting which there a are a couple of ways which I will demonstrate once I've succeeded! meadowfield 1,900 #17 Posted September 9, 2014 Why not use the weight of the GennyGenny to tension? I think that's how the original worked

nathanwhittaker 50 #19 Posted September 9, 2014 I would of thought it would be better secured at the top too just in case that's how we were going to adjust it If u drive around with nothing holding the top it would bounce up hit the bonnet and drop on floor
